The biggest announcement to be made is Roxy is going to be a big cousin! Her yet-unnamed cousin is expected to arrive in February, right in time for Valentine's Day.
As soon as we found out that a new arrival was expected, I started checking out baby shower themes and almost immediately headed to Pinterest as well.
My goal? Something not completely pink with lots of fun colors and an undefined theme. I don't want ducks, bees, or owls.
These are a few of my favorite ideas so far:
How sweet is this? Each cupcake is a receiving blanket and onesie! I'm thinking this would be a perfect way to dress up a gift or cake table. Maybe scatter them around the punchbowl?
Isn't this sweet? What a great treasure to stick in a baby book or memory box. It would only take a couple minutes at the shower for a keepsake Mom, Dad and baby could look back on for years to come. Imagine these coming out at high school graduation?
We've came to the conclusion that Roxy is going to be an only child so we don't have any need for any "Big Sister, Little Sister" shirts. I think a Big Cousin shirt is a fantastic idea instead. My hope is to have Roxy wear hers to the shower and give the baby hers as a gift just from her.
I love this diaper cake. Its sweet without a lot of fuss and would go along way in helping with the decor and giving the new parents a head start on diapers. I would definitely help the Mom-to-be with unwrapping the diapers!
This game is fun and easy. Quick guess and the winner takes home the M&Ms. Easy peasy!
Invitations are a lot harder to choose than you would think. I've got it narrowed down to six. I'm waiting for input from the co-hosts so we can decide. Thankfully, the shower is not until January so plenty of planning time! These are two of my favorite. What do you think?
