Things Roxy Says

Whoever said "Kids Say the Darndest Things" couldn't have been any more accurate hitting the proverbial nail on its head.

I decided to post some of those things Roxy says here for your enjoyment and my remembrance.

One of my favorite right now is how she uses the word "my."  I think she hasn't gotten "am I" down pat.  We hear a lot of "What my doing?"  "Where my going?"

* * * * *

When talking about her trip to the Game Farm yesterday:

Me:  Roxy, what animals did you see at the Game Farm today?

Roxy:  A deer....a turkey....a sleeping bear....a baby duffalo and a mommy duffalo and a daddy duffalo!

Me:  Did you get to see a peacock?

Roxy:  I didn't see a meacock.

Who doesn't love visiting the duffalo and meacocks?

When I step outside or downstairs and am gone long enough for her to realize:

Me:  Roxy, why are you crying?  I was just downstairs?

Roxy:  Why my been crying for you all day?

And this is my personal favorite right now.  Earlier this week, Russ and I were hanging out in the living room while Miss Roxy watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the laptop sitting at her table.  As always, Rella was chilling out with Roxy.

"I feeding Rella with my boobie."

Although breastfeeding is perfectly natural, I was still in absolute shock at her statement.  Thankfully, Russ and I were quickly able to figure out where she may have seen breastfeeding to mimic the actions. When you see your 2.5 year old doing something that she's never experienced (I pumped because we couldn't get Roxy to latch and we had to wait so long to try since she was so small), it was a little concerning at first.  Now that we know the origin, we're good. Especially since its not happened again.

What funny things do your kids say?
