The 8-Minute Exam

The 8-Minute Exam a/k/a the Certified Kentucky Paralegal Exam was made up of 40 multiple choice and true/false questions.

When I was scheduled to take the exam in November, I sat through the study group before becoming incapacitated with a virus Roxy shared with me.  I sat through the study group again on Saturday to refresh my memory.  After working in a law firm for almost seven years, I knew the material.

Just before noon, test booklets were passed out and we were instructed not to leave the room until finished, to use a #2 pencil when answering, etc.

At 12:00 p.m. we were instructed to begin.

At 12:08 p.m., I handed my exam in and left the building.

I strive to never second guess my first answer.  I have found that more often than not, if I do that, I screw up more than going with that first instinct.  Thus, the reason why the test was finished so quickly.

And this time?

It paid off.  This Monday morning started off with an email congratulating me on passing the exam and letting me know I would soon receive my certificate.

Look out world, Samantha Pridgen, CKP is official!

  1. Congratulations Sam! I'm so proud of you. :)

    1. Thanks, Rox! I am so glad that I finally got it out of the way AND they didn't take the allotted time frame of 30 to 45 days to get the results to me :)

Thanks for taking the time to leave a note. Your comment is appreciated!
