Five {Free} Valentine's Day Ideas

{photo credit}

Valentine's Day is just a week away!  It always manages to slip up quickly!

This year, we are going to the inexpensive side of gifting.  Both of us are trying to save money, and with that in mind, I thought I'd list a few things that are free and require no extensive planning or execution.
  • A random compliment - Whether its my hair or how good dinner was, a genuine and heartfelt compliment is always welcome and will always bring a smile to my face.
  • An unexpected hug/kiss/show of affection - If you pass your beloved in the hall or you get close while trying to reach for something in the kitchen, take the time to give him/her a quick squeeze or a kiss.
  • Uninterrupted adult time - After you put the kid(s) to sleep, spend some time together cuddling in front of a good movie or a favorite TV show.
  • Quality family time - Its Valentine's Day for the kiddos, too.  Spend time with them playing their favorite game or making up goodies in the kitchen for all to enjoy!
  • Massage the day's stress away - At the end of most days, I'm already knotted from my day at work.  A massage to help ease that tension would be a great relaxer for Valentine's Day.  Who knows?  Maybe if you give a massage, you'll get one, too!
Remember showing your love and respect for a person will always brighten their day, as well!  Happy {early} Hearts Day!
