The Holiday Edition of #iPPP

Roxy showing us all "fish face" on the way home from AL.
Like everyone else, we had a very busy holiday season.  I was pretty much on hiatus after the middle of December, but I'm not going to recap everything.

Roxy had a lot more fun this year and was more into unwrapping her gifts.  The only unfortunate part is that she would open one and want to open it immediately rather than continuing to unwrap the rest.  Needless to say, our house is now overrun with new toys.  One of my goals for the new year is to figure out where to put them all!

I've never been good with resolutions and last year, I kind of gave up on even making them.  This year, I have goals for the upcoming year.  Being more organized and getting my act together is #1 on the list.

We have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming year.  Mommy and Daddy's birthdays are making them look to big numbers this year - 29 and 39 make them a lot closer to the big 3-0 and the even bigger 4-0!  We have a visit from Nana and Poppa (possibly) in January; our trip to Destin in March; Gatlinburg in September; Roxy turns 3 this year; and the fun goes on and on!

All she wanted on the way home was Cracker Barrel - we get there and she's sound asleep.
And woke up just in time - when dinner was on the table.
In case you can't tell, Cracker Barrel is her favorite!

Mommy is most looking forward to the release of One for the Money on January 27th!  I've read Janet Evanovich books for years and I can't wait to celebrate my birthday with a girls' night out at the theater!  Are you a Janet fan?

Happy New Year to all of you!  We wish you a year of health, wealth and happiness!

  2. Hey Sam! Glad to see you're back. Love the pictures of Roxy.

I'm a big fan of the Stephanie Plumb books. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, but I'm also nervous. I have a very solid picture of everything in my mind. And Katherine Heigl as Stephanie? Doesn't fit. I guess we shall see.

  3. I love the Janet E. books! That'll be a fun girls' night!!

One of the things I had to do right away (and spent all day yesterday doing) was find a place for my kids' new toys. It meant a LOT of reorganizing, and three tubs full of old toys being put in storage for a while!

  4. I was just talking to a friend who recommended these books to me. We still have young ones so there's a good chance I'll have time to read them before they come out for rental!

I'd love for you to write about how you organize yourself this year...I'm drowning in junk mail and other things we don't need!

  7. At least your little girl enjoyed and appreciated each gift. My girls would open one an be ready for the next. I'm also trying to figure out where to put everything. I should probably give away a few things first...
