At our committee meeting in December, it was announced that I would be the chair of our Family/School/Community Teams Committee. How exciting!
Our Community Director emailed me yesterday to invite me to lunch. Of course I said yes! Ashleigh is great and she is so much fun - not to mention there was good news involved! I was anxious to hear the good news, but shocked as well when Ashleigh asked if we would like to be one of two ambassador families for our local March. As you all know very well, I am not shy about sharing our story and Roxy's NICU story; especially when doing so benefits the March of Dimes.
Team Roxy is officially on the board with our first donation of $10! Its a start on our journey to our goal of $5,000. We still have our Boogie for Babies event, cookout/bakesale, roadside cleanup, and many other events to reach our goal.
I urge you all to get involved with the only organization that has accomplished their first mission. The first mission of the March of Dimes was to find a cure for polio. Thanks to the polio vaccine, polio was erradicated from the United States in 1979.
