Birthday Plans

The countdown to Roxy's second birthday is on.  It is just about four months away.  I'm a little worried about the planning though because my mom's fiftieth birthday party will be just two weeks after Roxy's.  I don't want to slight one while planning for the other so I thought that I would get a head start on Roxy's.

Our theme?  Imagination Movers.

Roxy loves this show.  It is one of the very few that she will stop what she is doing and hurry over to watch so I thought it would be perfect for this year's theme.  I would have loved to have another princess party, but I don't want to wear her out on that theme so early.

While I was browsing for ideas, I found a lot of neat things on Etsy that will work.  Cutouts, invitations, and her birthday outfit.  Yeah, I already ordered the outfit.  It was just too cute to risk losing a chance on it.  Here it is:

I just love it!  So bright and fun and still feminine.  I plan on working with another Etsy shop to get the cutouts and other various fun decorating items as well as yet another shop that does the invitations.  I found so many styles that I like.  As soon as a location is determined, I will be ordering because I can't wait.  So much cuteness!

Disney Junior's website has also been a huge inspiration for ideas.  I found this cake idea on their website.

I am already really excited about this party.  I can't wait to see what else pops up for activities, decorations, favors, etc. in the next few months!

  1. It's hard when the kids want something that there isn't party ware for. We've run into that once already, and will again. Now my almost 3 year old wants a Dino Dan party!
