Mommy/Roxy Conversations

I'm sure that everyone with a toddler or who has had a toddler has had a similar conversation to these that have become multiple times per day occurrences with me and Roxy:

ROXY: Momma?
ME:  Yes, Roxy?
ROXY: Momma?
ME: Yes, baby?
ROXY: Momma?
ME: What?
ROXY: Momma?

--------------------------------------

ME: Roxy, where's your nose?
ROXY: Baby.
ME: Where is your nose?
ROXY: Baby.
ME: Roxy, look at Mommy.  Where is your nose?
ROXY: (Pats her chest) Baby!
ME: Yes, you're the baby.  (Gives up trying.)

--------------------------------------

ME: Roxy, let's lay down and go to sleep.  It's bedtime.
(We lay down on the couch and cuddle as is our normal routine.)
ROXY: (Lifts head up to attempt to look out the window.)
ME: No, Roxy.  Its time for bed.  Let's go to sleep.
ROXY: Car.
ME: No car.  We need to go to sleep.
ROXY: Car. (Hand reaches toward the window.)
ME: No, Roxy.  Sleep.  Lay back.
ROXY: Car.
(Over and over until she finally gives up and goes to bed.)
