Dear Roxy

September 5, 2027

Dear Roxy,

Today is your eighteenth birthday.  Time has flown by so quickly and here you are so grown up.

Please remember that you are a strong woman.  You came into this world ready to fight for what you wanted and it got you through even the toughest times those first couple of months.  You are determined and stubborn and strong-willed.  Needless to say, your daddy and I made sure you had double doses of both in your gene pool.

Your intelligence?  Now, we're not so sure where you got to be so smart!  Just kidding.  We know that it came from me!  LOL! (Will LOL even mean anything as you read this almost 17 years later?)

You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and watching you grow up is a wonderful gift.  You are a precious miracle and a true blessing.

The moral of this letter is just to serve as a reminder you as you begin making choices that are going to affect you for the rest of your life.  You are beautiful, determined, intelligent, head-strong, stubborn, loving, caring, and a little (okay, a lot) spoiled.  You will forever be our spunky and feisty baby girl.  You can do anything you want to do with your life and you will be successful at it!  Don't ever sell yourself short.

Keep your head held high and always do your best.  We know you will make it far!

Love always and forever,
Momma & Dada
