It's the most wonderful time of the year! Truly it is, but its also one of the busiest.
Roxy's been great lately. Her ear infections are finally gone and done with and she's growing just the way she should. We're finally getting back into a routine after all the infections got us off of our old one.
Roxy is getting ready to go on her second big trip away from home. I'm sure she will do fine, but whether Russ and I make it through the disruption, we'll see!
Christmas is only EIGHT days away. I am excited and feeling overwhelmed at the lack of overwhelming activities. We still have candy to make and I still need to help Pappaw do some shopping, but other than that, I am all caught up. More time available to spend with my sweetie!
I've been trying to prep Roxy for tearing into her presents. She still doesn't seem to awfully excited about it, but hopefully when the big day gets here, she'll want the paper and bows and boxes.
Roxy is developing new habits. The funniest is that she now sniffs everything thanks to a scratch and sniff book at My Naye's house (My Naye is her new nickname for Aunt Faye). Even more hilarious than the sniffing going on is the snorting. She makes you think that she's deep in concentration and the next thing you know, you hear a soft little snort. And giggles. Because aren't snorts the funniest thing? I think it tickles the inside of her nose. Snort back at her and you are guaranteed to double the giggles.
We finally got Miss Roxy a pair of real walking shoes. We went to the Talking Tree. She did so well sitting up in the chair to be fitted and measured and then she had to walk around to look at all the different shoes. That loving shoes thing comes from her mommy! Mommy was very surprised to learn that Roxy's foot was a full size and a half larger than what she thought. No wonder those little New Balance shoes weren't working for her anymore!
With a 15-month-old in the house and on the road, this Christmas is sure to be entertaining and busy. This Mommy is looking forward to seeing how the little one does with all the excitement and hustle and bustle.
Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and fantastic holiday season!
