Roxy went back for her twelve month checkup on September 1st. We were excited to see how much she had grown over the past three months. We can visibly see it, but hearing the weight and height make it so much more real.
She weighed in at 19 pounds, 11 ounces. She is 28 1/2 inches long. Roxy is doing so well that they are now measuring her on a full-term growth chart rather than the preemie growth chart. On a preemie chart she would be above average, but on the full-term she is just below. It won't be long and she will be completely caught up!
The nurse practitioner said that Miss Roxy can start making the transition from formula to whole milk. We can start giving her table foods that she can eat without any teeth. Roxy doesn't really like the whole milk much, but we've learned if we warm it, she doesn't mind it nearly as much.
They did do a finger stick and a TB skin test. My little angel didn't cry at all on either one. During the finger stick, she looked at the nurse trying to figure out why she was pushing on her finger, but that was it. We still have to go back to get her twelve month shots because she had to be exactly one year old or older to get them. We'll be doing that in the next couple weeks.
Other than that, the nurse practitioner declared our little one perfect, but we already knew she was! She's a miracle, our own little piece of heaven!
